Kunstenaar Michèl Poort bereikte in 2015 een dieptepunt. Hij verloor zijn liefde, zijn geld en zijn passie voor de kunst. Of zoals hij het zelf omschrijft, ‘hij was wel klaar met het leven’. Een toevallige ontmoeting in de jungle op Bali verandert alles. Na maanden van zelfonderzoek keert hij huiswaarts met maar één hartenwens: de wereld weer kloppend maken. Sindsdien heeft Michèl zijn kunst gewijd aan het hart, een passie in een veelvoud van kleuren, materialen en afmetingen. Hij zegt het zo:

“Ik zeg niet dat ik mijn leven heb gegeven aan de kunst
Ik zeg liever dat het hart mij mijn leven heeft teruggegeven.”
